Image Skewer
Available for macOS on the App Store.
** This app is intended to be used for art projects, in conjunction with a projector. **
For large format art projects like murals and larger canvas paintings, projectors can be very helpful for aligning elements and maintaining consistency. Getting perfect alignment with a projector, especially across multiple working sessions, can be tedious, even for projectors with keystone correction. Image Skewer helps make the alignment process simpler, faster, and more consistent.
Image Skewer supports multiple images per document, so you can, for example, cycle through your pre-separated color layers without adjusting the skew.
We recommend using Image Skewer in full screen mode.
Use your mouse, trackpad, or keyboard to quickly manipulate the skew corners to align with your canvas or wall. I'd recommend adding small circular stickies, as guide targets, to your wall or canvas if you're breaking down the area even further (ex. if you your projector isn't high enough resolution for precision at the desired size).
Toggle "white mode" to turn all opaque pixels in your images white, leaving transparency as is, if desired. This is very helpful when you start working with multiple overlapping color layers.
You can add and remove images from your documents at any time without affecting the skew. You can copy and paste the skew settings between documents and you can save and reload your settings.
We hope you love Image Skewer!
